Oliver and Company Story/Concept Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1988). A pair of very rare preliminary concept drawings by David Jonas, created in preparation for Disney's 27th animated feature film. These are sketchy yet highly detailed drawings in graphite on 2-peghole onionskin paper measuring 15.5" x 10.25". The first features Dodger stealing a man's wallet as he stops by a sidewalk newsstand, as Oliver looks on. The second drawing has Oliver with the wallet in his mouth as the same man is chasing him down to a subway platform. Great expressions on the man's face! Very minor handling wear; Fine condition. From the Joe Hale Archives.
