DescriptionOliver and Company Early Concept/Character Design Sketches by Al Wilson Group of 21 (Walt Disney, 1988). Fantastic cache of concept art created for Oliver and Company by animation layout artist Al Wilson. These are all early concept sketches, done in preparation for the film. Jenny Foxworth (some drawings noted by her original name, Penny), Fagin, Dodger, Georgette, Billy "Psycho" Sikes and Nancy are all featured. A few pieces are embellished prints, but most are original art in graphite and ink on paper, mounted to backing boards (some with protective acetate overlays). Two pieces are full color, using ink, color pencils, and crayon. Nine of the boards have two drawings mounted, one has four, but the rest are single images. Board sizes range from 10" x 7.5" up to 17.75" x 12.5". Most have a caption, some written on the back. A fun lot! Overall condition is Very Good with minor handling wear.
