    Description

Mr. Bug Goes to Town Honey Bee plus Smack the Mosquito and Swat the Fly Layout Drawings Original Art Group of 2 (Max Fleischer, 1941). The lovely Honey Bee is featured in this rare group of two original field layout drawings from the final Fleischer Studios animated feature, Mr. Bug Goes to Town. It's a nice close-up of her sweet face, looking demurely up with her head slightly bowed. Under the art is the song lyric caption "She can't hold a candle to a certain honey-bee." The second original layout drawing in this group is of C. Bagwell Beetle's henchmen Smack the Mosquito and Swat the Fly; it's a great cartoon image of these comical bad guys. The art for both is in graphite on 3-peghole animation paper measuring 11" x 8.5", with an approximate image area of 8.25" x 6"; both are loosely mounted to a piece of black board measuring 13" x 17.75", ready for display. Both pieces have handling wear and tack holes, with mild paper toning. The Images are in Very Good condition.
