Mother Goose Goes Hollywood W. C. Fields and Donald Duck Concept Drawing by T. Hee (Walt Disney, 1938). In this rare original drawing by famed caricaturist T. Hee (1911 - 1988), W. C. Fields seems to be saying to Donald Duck "Go away duck, you bother me!" Thornton "T." Hee was one of Hollywood's greatest caricature artists, as well as an animator, writer, and director. While at Warner Brothers, he worked on such shorts as The Woods Are Full of Cuckoos (1937). That same year, he moved to Disney; this Wilfred Jackson-directed short was his first for the company. Both Donald and Fields appear in this short. Donald pops up at the 1:59 mark, after Joe Penner asks a "woo-hooing" King Cole (Hugh Herbert) "wanna buy a duck?" At the 2:49 mark, we see Humpty Dumpty, played by W. C. Fields. This drawing is in graphite on 12 field 5-peghole paper, and is signed by the artist. Figure sizes are 6.5" and 3.25". Minor handling wear. Very Good condition.
