Moth and the Flame Lady Moth Concept Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). The lovely lady moth who is seduced by a candle flame is featured in this original character concept drawing. Burt Gillett directed this Silly Symphony short, which was released to theaters on 4/1/38. This is the scene from approximately 1:45 mark where she and her boyfriend are dining on hat feathers. The detail is fantastic and you can see slight changes were made to the character when compared to the finished scene. The art is in graphite with red pencil on 12 field 5-peghole paper with an image that measures 4.5" x 4". A red pencil box measuring 8" x 10.5" frames the image. The back of the page is stamped "I. Klein 48-32-38th ST. Long Island City, NY." The piece shows minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
