Modern Inventions Layout/Story Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "A barbers chair! Well, well, well. Give me the works!" says Donald Duck as he approaches the barber chair of the future in the "Museum of Modern Marvels". This Jack King-directed short is famous for being Carl Barks' first foray into gag and story writing at Disney. In fact, the entire "Modern Coin Operated Barber's Chair" gag is the first story idea submitted to Walt Disney Studios by Carl Barks. This is an original story/layout drawing of the chair that measures 8" tall, rendered in graphite on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The paper shows minor handling wear, folds, and a tiny border tear; otherwise, condition is Very Good.
