Minority Report Prop Box Concept Art and Animation Drawings Group of 4 (20th Century Fox/Kurtz and Friends, 2002). In this futuristic cyberpunk thriller based on a Philip K. Dick short story, we see "PreCrime" Captain John Anderton (played by Tom Cruse) at his work station, nibbling from a box of cereal. The box has animated characters that move when touched, and in this unusual group, we have two concept drawings of the little "Pine and Oats" characters from the box, plus one animation production drawing (noted #56 in the lower right) with three of them as they bounce around the box. These are all graphite drawings with figure sizes of 4.25" and 2.75" for the concept drawings, and an overall image size of 3.5" x 3.75" for the animation drawing. Steven Spielberg was the film's director, and in a nod to one of his classic films, a specially prepared box presented to Mr. Spielberg contains an inside joke; graphics promoting a special "collect them all" group of magnets celebrating the "70th anniversary" of Spielberg's 1982 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial movie! Included with this lot is a sheet with five detailed drawings by Bob Kurtz of several magnets, as seen on back of the prop box: the airborne bicycle against the full moon, E.T.'s face, Spielberg's face, the E.T. rocket ship, and E.T.'s glowing finger. Art is in graphite with blue and red color pencils, and image sizes ranging from 2" x 2.75" to 3.5" x 2.5". All four pages have been hand-signed by Mr. Kurtz. Pages are in Very Good condition with minor handling wear.
