    Micky Mouse Mickey and Minnie's Candy and Story Book Cover Concept Art (Walt Disney/American Candy Company, c. late 1970s). The American Candy Company, makers since 1899 of old-fashioned candy like Candy Canes, Twirl Pops, and Starlight Mints, received a licence to use Disney characters in its products on 1/1/77. Here is an original hand-drawn concept piece for a Valentine's Day candy/book package featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Art is in ink and watercolor/gouache on illustration board measuring 15.75" x 14.75". Art for the side panel measures approximately 3.5" x 11"; box cover art measures 7.25" x 11". We're not sure if these were ever produced, but it's certainly a cool idea, with nice Disney graphics! Very Good condition.
