    Mickey Mouse Original Consumer Products Artwork (Walt Disney, c. 1935). Using original artwork based on Walt Disney's wildly popular short, Two-Gun Mickey, a major rug company in Yonkers, NY made Disney themed rugs. The art is from a Kay Kamen/Disney project. Herman "Kay" Kamen (1892 - 1949) was a merchandising executive, noted primarily for his work with the Walt Disney Company. He promoted Mickey Mouse -- the most popular cartoon character of the early 1930s. Offered in this lot is a rare piece of Disney Consumer Products artwork used for the venture. The art was rendered in gouache on heavy 15" x 10" illustration board. The image measures 11.75" x 6.75". Condition is Very Good.
