    Description

Mickey Mouse Mug Concept Drawing (Walt Disney, 1987). Three views of a proposed drinking mug featuring a top-hatted Mickey Mouse. These are very detailed drawings in graphite and dark blue pencil on onionskin paper. Many such Disney-related consumer product items begin in this fashion, with drawings that must be approved before moving on to the next step; in this case, it would be a 3-D model created in clay (a check online reveals the mug was actually produced, in ceramics). Art is dated in the upper left corner. The images on this page measure approximately 5.5" tall. Paper is creased with several edge tears, none that extend into the image areas. Good condition.
