Description
Melbourne Docklands Proposed Waterfront Revitalization Project Original LARGE 42" "Bird's Eye View" Concept/Pitch Art by Eric Heschong for Landmark Entertainment (LEG, 1997). This striking piece of original concept/pitch art was created by Eric Heschong for Landmark Entertainment Group as part of Melbourne, Australia's proposed Docklands Waterfront Revitalization Project in the late 1990s. Rendered in gouache on an oversized 42" x 21" board, the artwork presents a dramatic vision of a reimagined waterfront designed to complement new residential, office, and stadium developments. Landmark's concept proposed a lively "urban entertainment center" featuring themed dining and retail streets, a multimedia show venue, large-format IMAX theater, family attractions, seasonal festivals, and a night-time fountain or projection spectacular. Heschong, celebrated for his richly detailed and cinematic presentation work, brought the project to life with his bold visual style. Known for his contributions to Landmark Entertainment, Universal Studios, and Walt Disney Imagineering, his art consistently translated ambitious design ideas into compelling imagery. This Docklands proposal reflected Landmark's global expertise in themed entertainment and urban redevelopment, bringing theme park-level vision to civic planning.
