Mary Blair Susie the Little Blue Coupe Original Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1952). "Suzie was a happy little car as she glided down the avenue. The minute she stepped out into the main drag, she found herself in pretty fast company. But then she had a lot of pep and pick up and she soon learned her way around" This great Disney Studio cartoon short was created from a Bill Peet story. It was directed by Clyde Geronimi and released on 6/6/52. It had voices provided by Sterling Holloway and Stan Freberg. Some of the animation on this short was done by Disney Legend Inductee, Mr. Ollie Johnston and Mary Blair was the Art Director. This is a rare Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) concept/Color Key painting of Suzie stepping out into traffic for the first time in a city environment. Nice big smile on Susie's face! In Mary Blair's first pass at Susie, she had a black top! Gouache on board of 9" x 9". Minor handling and edge wear, with pinholes in corners. Overall Very Good condition.
