Mary Blair Peter Pan Wendy and Peter Pan Concept/Color Key Painting (Walt Disney, 1953). "Captain, no splash!" "Not a sound..." "Not a bloomin' ripple." "It's a jinx, that's what it is." Peter Pan saves Wendy from the gangplank and stands on the anchor chain on the side of the Jolly Roger. This rare original concept painting by Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) depicts an image that is almost exactly as it is in the final film. Seen during the climactic Hook vs. Pan finale at the 1:07:16 mark, the colors, the composition and the lighting depicted in this painting are reflected very faithfully in the final product. An exceptional and rare image that had a significant impact on the shot, this fantastic piece features Peter Pan and Wendy in a great heroic moment. The painting is framed under Plexiglas with a mat window size of 6.75" x 5.75" and an overall frame size of 14.75" x 13.75". Well preserved in the frame, the piece is in Fine condition. The frame is sold as-is.
