Mary Blair Peter Pan Indian Village Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1953). "Peter Pan mighty warrior... Save Tiger Lily... Make Big Chief heap glad... Make Peter Pan heap big chief... You now Flying Little Eagle!" says the Chief in this this the thirteenth animated feature film from Disney Studios. Here is an original concept/Color Key painting of the celebration in the Indian village after Peter Pan saves Tiger Lilly from the clutches of Captain Hook. The striking image of the Indian Chief and Tiger Lilly looking on as the lost boys dance around the campfire is rendered magnificently with a pallette of reds, blues and greens. It's painted in gouache on 9" x 8.5" board and is the work of longtime Disney artist and color stylist Mary Blair (1912 -1978). Ms. Blair was one of Walt Disney's favorites and worked on many of the classic films produced by the studio as well as attractions at Disney theme parks. Minor surface wear with pinholes in the corners. Condition is Very Good.
