    Description

Mary Blair "It's a Small World" Thailand Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1964/66). John Hench said of Mary Bair, "Walt really had an enormous respect for Mary's talent. There were few people that he thought as much of. Nothing ever went wrong with her color styles. She was impeccable. No matter what she touched, it came out glowing". This lot truly showcases those sentiments. It is an original concept painting of the children of Thailand for the "It's a Small World" attraction by Mary Blair (1911 - 1978). Painted in gouache on 8" x 6" board, the colors jump off this piece. This outstanding Mary Blair original is in a frame of 18.5" x 16" with a mat opening of 9" x 7". There are pinholes in the corners, minor edge wear and handling on the art. Overall condition Very Good. Frame is sold as is.
