Mary Blair It's a Small World Building Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1964). "It's a small world after all!" The "It's a Small World" attraction is located in every Disney theme park around the globe. It began as part of the 1964 New York World's Fair UNICEF Pavilion, sponsored by Pepsi. It officially opened in Disneyland after the World's Fair closed on June 28, 1966. Mary Blair was asked to be the driving force behind this attraction at the request of Walt Disney, who highly regarded her innate sense of color style. Her artwork was the inspiration and major force in the destiny and implementation of this global attraction, seen by millions of people year after year. This magnificent tempera and watercolor painting is on heavy illustration board, measuring approximately 20" x 15". This huge painting is a study of color for the outside building design.
