DescriptionMary Blair Alice in Wonderland Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1951). "Birthday? My dear child this is not a birthday party!" says the March Hare to Alice. "Of course this is an Un-birthday party" says the Mad Hatter as he goes into the "A very happy unbirthday to you... to me?" song. This is an outstanding Mary Blair (1911 - 1978) concept painting of the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Amazing full long table painting showing Alice, March Hare and Mad Hatter sitting having tea. Mary's red chair in a sea of green is amazing. Gouache on oversized pan-type board of 19.5" x 8.5". Pinholes in corners, with minor handling and edge wear. Overall Very Good condition. KEY SCENE!
