    Mary Blair Alice In Wonderland Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1951). Alice is fleeing from the Queen of Heart's playing card soldiers, in this wonderful concept painting produced in tempera paint and watercolor on illustration board. Mary Blair (1911-1978) produced some amazing and dramatic images that were used to set the tone and feel for the storyboards and animation to follow. Jon Sclezka's 2008 book Alice In Wonderland used many of Mary Blair's concept paintings from this feature film to illustrate the book. This piece is 7.5" x 5.5" piece is Plexiglas front framed to 16" x 14" and in Fine condition.
