    Josie and the Pussycats Character Design Drawings by Willie Ito, Group of 17 (Hanna-Barbera, 1970). This Archie Show spin-off premiered on 9/12/70 on CBS. It featured Josie, Valerie, and Melody in their band along with Alan, Alexander Cabot III, Alexandra, and Sebastian the Cat. This is a series of 17 final character design drawings that were cut out and mounted to 12 field animation paper, to be photographed for model sheets for all in the animation process. These character designs are from the hand of famed animator Willie Ito, and are his final designs that were used to go forward and begin animation on this series. All are stamped "Hanna-Barbera Productions 1970 Prod. #51." Historic collection of all the show's cast, in seventeen original Willie Ito drawings, all in graphite. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
