    Description

Jerry Eisenberg The Banana Splits Show Concept Art Group of 9 (Hanna-Barbera, 1968). "Four Bananas make a bunch, and so to many more." Wow... this is a very interesting bit of history in physical form! The Banana Splits were live-action costume characters designed by the legendary Sid and Marty Kroft for Hanna-Barbera. They included Fleegle (a beagle), Bingo (a gorilla), Drooper (a lion), and Snorky (a diminutive elephant). The closest thing to this hit series on TV at that time was The Monkees TV show. The 'Splits premiered on 9-7-68 on NBC. This group contains nine hand-drawn original character concept/design sketches for the characters by legendary animation character designer and layout man, Jerry Eisenberg. Produced in graphite and color marker, each page is signed "Jerry". Some pages are marked "Banana Splits Designs: Not Final". The images range in size, but are approximately 4" to 8" tall. The pages have handling, edge/corner wear, an some production tape among other minor stains and slight border tears. It appears some pages have been slightly singed or water damaged as well. Overall the main image areas are in Very Good condition.
