Jack Kerns and others - Animation Concept Drawings and Production Cels Group (Walt Disney, c. 1930s-60s). Large collection of artwork, including cartoons, practice drawings, figure studies, action studies, logo designs, and even in-studio gags. Many are signed by Jack Kerns, longtime animator with Walt Disney and later, Hanna-Barbera, where his wife Billie was an Ink and Paint supervisor. Several pieces are on cel fragments, and appear to be from Fleischer Studios, including several from Mr. Bug Goes to Town, plus Popeye and Gabby (several are painted production cels, mostly with flaking paint). One interesting piece is a cartoon design for Candy Candido, the four-octave actor and musician who voiced the Indian Chief in Peter Pan. There are approximately 75 pages of art, plus one photo print of a badge (with preliminary drawings). Many are 16 filed pages of figure and motion studios, mostly of female models wearing tights, some in ballerina poses. Art is in graphite, red pencil, ink, and blue pencil. Condition ranges from Good to Very Good.
