Description

Hey Arnold! Arnold and Gerald Style Guide Original Art Pair (Nickelodeon, c. 1996-2004). "We have the plays and the smarts on our side. Let's show these guys how to play the game of football." Reminiscent of the season 2 episode "Mudbowl", Arnold and Gerald make a sporty appearance in this dynamic pair of ink drawings created for the Hey Arnold! series style guide. A style guide, sometimes known as a design or show bible, is an exhaustive compendium that typically includes character information and model sheets, setting and story, and other important information to help keep all aspects of the show cohesive from episode development to consumer products. Debuting in late 1996 as Nickelodeon's 6th original Nicktoon, Hey Arnold! was created by Craig Bartlett as a zany slice of life series following a fourth-grader who lives in his grandparents' urban boarding house. This wonderful pair of football themed illustrations features Arnold taking the role of kicker and Gerald playing the holder. Both have been hand-drawn in black ink with whiteout art corrections on bond paper. The pre-kick drawing has an image area of 7.25" x 5.5" on a sheet trimmed to 10" x 8" while the post-kick drawing measures larger at 8.25" x 7.75" on a sheet trimmed to 10.75" x 10.25". With typical studio handling and edge wear including the noted trimming and some superficial surface wrinkles, overall this athletic pair is in Very Good to Fine condition.
