Hercules Concept/Layout Preliminary Art Group of 2 (Walt Disney, c. 1990s). Hercules boldly travels to Mount Olympus on Pegasus to free the captured gods, in this powerful penciled preliminary. This was a concept piece for a soundtrack compact disc, sold exclusively at Japan Disney Stores; the final printed cd has a similar image of Hercules on Pegasus, but adds Meg. We definitely prefer this action-packed version of Hercules, with his sword drawn and with determined looks on both his face and Pegasus. The art is in graphite with a lightly drawn-in logo, in blue pencil, on paper. A blue line border sets the image size at 12" x 12" although the drawing extends into the outer borders; overall paper size is 16" x 16". A reduced-size print is also included, but the real bonus is a beautifully detailed blue and red pencil mock-up of the cover art on onionskin; image size is 7.5" x 7.5". Very Good overall condition.
