DescriptionHare-Um Scare-Um Character Model Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1939). In 1939 Bugs Bunny was still a work in progress and still hadn't officially been named. Bugs was eventually was named after Bugs Hardaway who came up with the winning design for the rabbit character. This is an original character model drawing of Bugs Hardaway's Bunny from his third theatrical appearance. The 3" x 5" full-figure image was drawn by animator Rev Chaney in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole paper. It's a truly historic piece of animation history from the dawn of this iconic character. The paper shows light handling and toning. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
