    Hank Porter "Tiger Cub" World War II Insignia Preliminary Art (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). This is a non-Disney character, who could have been a Disney character: a great looking young tiger with a slingshot. This Hank Porter (1900 - 1951) original preliminary design artwork was created for the 704 Tank Destroyer Battalion. This unit was activated on 12/15/41, out of Camp Pine, NY. They saw extensive action in Normandy, France, and all of Central Europe. Graphite with green, orange and blue highlights. Nice image size of 5" on onionskin paper measuring 8" x 8". This image can be seen in the book Characters of Military on page 84. Minor handling wear. In Very Good condition.
