DescriptionHank Porter Sea Scouts Donald Duck Poster Concept Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, 1939). Sea Scouts was a Donald Duck short that also starred his nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. It was directed by Dick Lundy and released on 6/30/39. It had a story written by Carl Barks; the animation team on this great short included Preston Blair and eventual longtime Donald Duck director, Jack Hannah. This is an original concept/layout artwork for the one sheet theatrical poster for this cartoon, done by the head of Disney Publicity Art Department, Mr. Hank Porter (1900 - 1951). Great detailed drawing in graphite with red pencil highlights, on paper trimmed to 8" x 12". Two pegholes were added to the left side for use in a binder. A color print of the published one sheet is included with the drawing. Detail is simply amazing! Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
