Fun and Fancy Free Willie The Giant and Figaro Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1947). Mickey and The Beanstalk was originally planned as an animated feature film, but ultimately ended up as a segment in this popular compilation film. It was also originally written to include characters from Pinocchio such as Dishonest John, Gideon and Figaro. This is an original concept drawing of Willie the Giant with his pet cat played by Figaro on his shoulder. It's drawn in graphite, charcoal, and painted with gouache on 16 field 5-peghole animation paper. It's a huge image measuring approximately 14" tall. This is only the second time we have seen proof of the early plans for Figaro's appearance in this film. Minor handling and edge wear. Condition is Very Good.
