Description

Flirty Bird Tom and Jerry Animation Drawing (MGM, 1945). Tom lures Jerry with a trail of cheese in the opening seconds of this classic Hanna and Barbera directed theatrical short. This cartoon was released at the height of this duo's popularity and the detail and quality of these drawings is truly spectacular. This single piece is actually a combination of graphite drawings with Tom rendered on a 12 field sheet of paper with 3-pegholes top and bottom. The Jerry drawing has been trimmed to the image and mounted to the drawing of Tom. The combined image measures 9" x 4.5" inches and is numbered 18 in the lower right. It is a remarkable and very rare drawing setup of one of animation's most recognized and beloved pair. The paper shows handling, a crease across Tom's leg, and the center peghole on top is torn. Condition is Very Good.
