FernGully: The Last Rainforest Fairies Character Design Art (Kroyer Films, 1992). This film featured the first voice appearance of Robin Williams (as Batty Koda) in a feature-length animated cartoon. This also was one of the first animated feature films to have an environmental message. Directed by Bill Kroyer, this animated feature film, which debuted on 10/10/92, had a look of beauty. This is an early character design of the fairies from the hand of longtime layout and story artist Mr. Alvaro Arce. Detailed beautiful images of five fairies and landscape of their world. Art is in graphite with a multitude of colored pencil highlights. Labeled in the top right corner is "Designs for FernGully -- Alvaro Arce." Matted with an opening size of 18" x 9.5", with an overall mat size of 24" x 13.5". Minor handling wear and light center crease. Very rare to find early development artwork of this caliber from this film. Good condition. From the Alvaro Arce Collection.
