DescriptionFerdinand the Bull Color Model Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, 1938). This beloved Disney short was taken from the book The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf. It was directed Dick Rickard and released on 11/25/38. Ferdinand had much of its animation done by Milt Kahl. This is a rare concept painting of a matador in this film, said to be purposely created with a similar resemblance to one Mr. Walt Disney. It is painted in ink and watercolor on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper stamped Color Model in the bottom border. Great full-figure image with full accompaniments of a matador of 7". Great brush strokes of color along the top left and right border areas. Some minor restoration to the painting has been done and a new archival backing has been used behind the original sheet. Concept art of this caliber for this short is considered rare. Minor handling wear. Condition is Very Good.
