    Fantasia "The Pastoral Symphony" Concept Painting by Sylvia Holland (Walt Disney, 1940). This is an outstanding Sylvia Holland (1900 - 1974) original concept watercolor painting that she did for the water sequence of the Centaurettes in "The Pastoral Symphony" section of Fantasia. Back of the painting has the "Concert Feature Stamp" on reverse with her identified as the artist and this painting date of Aug. 23 and sketch #903. Sylvia Holland was one of the earliest female artists at the Walt Disney Studios and worked there until the studio layoffs after World War II. Stunning detail on this concept painting! The paper is 12.5" x 10". Minor handling and pinholes in corners. Overall condition is Very Good. From the Forbes Collection.
