Fantasia Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey Mouse Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1940). You can almost hear the music conducted by Leopold Stokowski as you look upon this image of Mickey trying his hand at sorcery. Animation for this beloved segment of Fantasia and arguably Mickey's greatest role was headed up by Fred Moore and Bill Tytla. This is an early gouache concept/storyboard painting of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice. The epic one-of-a-kind piece is from the very early developmental stages of this groundbreaking Disney feature and a genuine work of animation art history. It's a magnificent composition of Mickey as the sorcerer with the broom from the key scene just before things go awry. For Fantasia collectors, it just doesn't get much better than this. The art measures approximately 8" x 6", bears pinholes in each corner and is mounted to black board. Condition is Very Good.
