Fantasia "Dance of the Hours" Elephants Concept Art by Lee Blair (Walt Disney, 1940). Lee Blair (1911 - 1999) was the husband of Mary Blair, and brother to Preston Blair. His artwork accomplishments are quite impressive. He worked at Walt Disney Studios for two tours before and after World War II. He was Director of Color and screenwriter for the "Dance of Hours" section on Fantasia. This is a rare original layout/concept artwork of the dancing elephants from "Dance of the Hours," attributed to the hand of Lee Blair. His signature "Lee" is on top right corner. Impressive graphite and ink artwork on a 12 field 5-peghole animation sheet. The image takes up 10" x 8". Extremely rare Fantasia artwork! Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
