Fantasia Ben Ali Gator and Hyacinth Hippo Concept Painting Original Art (Walt Disney, 1940). Original gouache concept painting on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper of Ben Ali Gator along with Hyacinth Hippo, reclining on a couch. This is from the hand of James Bodrero (1900-1980). His name "Jim" is written in the upper right corner. Outstanding early character development artwork for the "Dance of the Hours" section of this film. A WDP stamp is in left side border. This piece was originally sold under the Courvoisier Art Program. A Studio stamp is on the backside of the paper as well. Great, very colorful images of 2.5" and 7". Simply wonderful Fantasia early concept art; the facial expression on Ben Ali Gator is priceless! Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
