Description

Fantasia 2000 Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice Character Study by Disney Legend Andreas Deja (Walt Disney, 1999). "Just wanted to offer my congratulations, sir." "Congratulations to you, Mickey." Disney Legend Andreas Deja has helped to animate characters in numerous Disney films over the decades (The Black Cauldron, The Lion King, Hercules, and Lilo & Stitch to name a few) and served as an animator on the "Rhapsody and Blue Segment" as well as a character animator for Mickey as he greeted and congratulated the conductor of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" (Reprise) Leopold Stokowski after his successful performance and searched for Donald so he could fulfill his role in the next segment "Pop and Circumstance". Mickey is all smiles in the graphite with color pencil drawing and full figure at about 9'' x 6.75'', once again wearing his master's powerful hat and casting a sparkling spell with one hand. A great study of the iconic character in preparation for Deja's scenes, the lot is in Very Good condition with only light handling.
From the Disney Legend Inductee Andreas Deja Collection.
