Eyvind Earle Paul Bunyan Scenic Concept Art (Walt Disney, 1958). "Hey Paul... Paul Bunyan!" An outstanding concept art/background color key painting for the theatrical short Paul Bunyan, from the hand of Eyvind Earle. The painting showcases the tree-studded land in Minnesota, with a rare image of Paul Bunyan, towering above the farm buildings. Paul Bunyan was directed by Disney Nine Old Men animator Les Clark; it received an Academy Award nomination. Thurl Ravenscroft (the voice of Tony the Tiger) voiced Paul in the short. This impressive artwork, created in gouache, edge-to-edge, on 15" x 6" illustration board, is signed in the lower right corner by Mr. Earle, who received screen credit as the film's Color Stylist. Pinholes in all four corners; overall Fine condition.
