Eyvind Earle Lady and the Tramp Park Scene Concept Painting (Walt Disney, 1955). In the Taschen book The Walt Disney Film Archive - The Animated Movies 1921 - 1968, over 20 Eyvind Earle Lady and the Tramp concept/Color Key paintings of scenes in the park are showcased on page 428. On page 473, it reads "Earle also worked on the design of the backgrounds for Lady and the Tramp. Earle's graphic elegance was naturally in greater demand in the designs of the middle class ambiance in the sophisticated neighborhoods" (Claude Coats would specialize in the gritty back street neighborhoods of Tramp in contrast). Eyvind Earle's concept/Color Key paintings mainly center on the "Belle Notte" scene and their trip to the park after dinner. This is a tiny but powerful masterpiece of a painting. It measures only 2.5" x 2", but the detail to the tree trunk in the park, the lake, the full moon, and overall composition is simply stunning. Mr. Eyvind Earle (1916 - 2000) has hand-signed the back of this stunning mini-masterwork. Minor handling. Very Good condition.
