Eyvind Earle - Lady and the Tramp Concept Art Background/Color Key (Walt Disney, 1955). Featured on page 428 of the book "The Walt Disney Film Archives - The Animated Movies 1921 - 1968" published by Taschen, over 20 Lady and the Tramp concept/color key paintings by Eyvind Earle (1916 - 2000) can be seen. Earle's elegant style was a natural for the design of Lady's middle class environs in this film while Claude Coats style was ideal for capturing the gritty back street scenery of Tramp's neighborhood. Many of Eyvind Earle's concept paintings also focused on the Belle Notte scene and the late-night stroll afterward. This is an original Eyvind Earle color key/concept painting of Lady and Tramp in the park after their romantic meal at Tony's. The full moon sits over a pair of lovers on a park bench as Lady and the Tramp take a stroll under the stars. Painted in gouache on board of 10" x 5", It is signed by the artist in the right corner. This one-of-a-kind painting from one of the great animated love stories by one of Disney's most revered artists is a true work of art. It is in a frame measuring 20" x 15". There are pinholes in the corners; otherwise condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is.
