    Description

Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas Concept Drawing by Chuck Jones (MGM 1966). "All those Who girls and boys, will wake bright and early, they will rush for their toys, and then the noise, oh the noise, noise, noise, noise!" This scene can be seen at the 3:45 mark into the special. And it explains why the Grinch hates Christmas. This is a rare Chuck Jones (1912 - 2002) vertical pan graphite drawing of 20 Who boys and girls running down the stairs to open their presents. There are assorted notes throughout this piece of animation history. The drawing is matted and framed with Plexiglas; frame size is 49" x 21" with a mat opening of 37" x 10". This is a rare look in to the making of this film from the earliest stage and is believed to be the largest piece of Grinch production art ever done from the hand of Chuck Jones. It comes an important Letter of Authenticity from Linda Jones Enterprises. There is a fold crease across the piece near the children's feet and light handling and edgewear; otherwise condition is Very Good. Frame is sold as-is. From the Chuck Jones Archives.
