Dinosaur Yar and Plio Story Sketch by Thom Enriquez (Walt Disney, 2000). An impressive story sketch from Disney's Dinosaur featuring the film's two lemurs, Yar and Plio. This is the story of Aladar, an orphaned dinosaur raised by a family of lemurs. Their world is turned upside-down however, when meteors strike, turning their green world into a desert wasteland. This dramatic story sketch was rendered by one of the film's writers Thom Enriquez using pen and graphite on a 5.5" x 10" sheet. Story sketches, individual drawings viewed sequentially to show the progression of events in the film, are created by one or more artists and selected or rejected. Different permutations of these sets of sketches, pinned to memo boards for review, finally evolve into one set of final storyboards for the film. This one shows the two lemurs discovering a dinosaur egg, which hatches a baby dinosaur they name Aladar. The artwork is signed by the artist and exhibits very light production handling with pinholes in the corners. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
