Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines/Help... It's the Hair Bear Bunch Concept Drawings Original Art Group of 8 (Hanna-Barbera, 1969-71). Jerry Eisenberg is one of the great Saturday Morning cartoon character designers of all time. From his personal archives is this rare first generation concept artwork of Dick Dastardly. Of course, he looks nothing like the final design. This show was also known as Stop the Pigeon. It premiered on 9/13/69 on CBS. Graphite and colored marker on 12 field animation paper, hand-signed by Jerry Eisenberg, who has written in bottom border, "Stop the Pigeon." Great image of 9". Also in this lot is a series of drawings in graphite and colored marker of his initial concepts for the Hair Bear Bunch. This series premiered on 9/1/71 on CBS and featured three Bear cousins living in the Wonderland Zoo. Seven drawings on trimmed and sometimes stained paper of all dimensions. Most images are 8" to 10" on paper of 8" x 10" and smaller. Serious staining on five of them, away from characters. Fair to Good condition. From the Jerry Eisenberg Archives.
