    Description

Dance of the Weed Concept Art (MGM, 1941). Rudolph Ising directed this Fantasia-influenced short about a clumsy yokel weed who courts a female flower ballerina. Scot Bradley composed the score first and then the story was built around his music. This is considered very rare -- an original concept painting of the Weed and Flower, created most likely to finalize the story to the score. Gouache on board inside black paper, almost like a Leica reel. This is a very rare piece of MGM Studios artwork from this time period. Black border paper has handling and border tears. Art piece is in Very Good condition. From the Forbes Collection.
