Cinderella Prince Charming and Fairy Godmother Signed Concept Art Pair by Marc Davis (Walt Disney, 1950). Here is a rare pair of original hand-painted color concepts for the Fairy Godmother and Prince Charming from Cinderella by legendary Disney artist Mark Davis (1913 - 2000). These detailed concepts show Davis's early ideas for the look of these two characters. The three color images are rendered tightly and colored in gouache while the pencils are especially loose. The two fairy Godmother images are on a trimmed piece of paper affixed to the 9" x 12" sheet in the upper left. It's an interesting look at the ways Disney animators, particularly one as accomplished as Marc Davis approached character design. It is signed by Davis and dated '53 which is likely when it was gifted to someone. This rare one-of-a-kind piece shows minor handling and age-related toning. Condition is Very Good.Auction Info
