Cinderella Collector's Plate Concept Art Group of 11 (Walt Disney, c. 1980s). Group of concept art pieces based on this 1950 animated classic, developed for collector's plates issued by Knowles/Bradford in the late 1980s. Four of the graphite on paper (two on onionskin, three on white paper) drawings are done in a circle, diameter size ranges from 7" to 8". One is marked as "Cinderella Jeweled Romance Plate." One large graphite on onionskin drawing is in a 12" circle; it's marked "Musical Montage Bradford Plate." There are three large drawings (two with a faint circle outline) of Lady Tremaine, one including Drizella and Anastasia; these are in graphite and blue pencil on thin paper, with an average image size of 12" x 12". Finally, there are two presentation pieces; one is a hand-colored print with added cel print overlay, image diameter size is 8.25". The other piece is composed of photocopies cut and pasted onto board, with an image size of 12"; it's of the Musical Montage, of which the original pencil drawing is included in this lot. Overall Very Good condition.

I have done a preliminary analysis and the total of the hammer prices was $67,550. With BP, the final figure was $80,722.25. That is against the total insurance value of $34,785 or 2.32 x ‘pre-auction estimate’. Incredible, really, so a big thanks.
