Description
Chicken Little Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald and Jiminy Cricket Concept Art by Ken Anderson (Walt Disney, c. 1960s). "On the way they met Jiminy Cricket. Leaping lickety, slickety across the path." Disney has made a short in 1943 and feature film in 2005 based on the classic story of Chicken Little. Here is a fantastic piece of concept art for another version that would have starred the Fab Five characters. The artwork was beautifully detailed in ink by Ken Anderson (1909 - 1993). Anderson was an art director, screenwriter, and animator at the Walt Disney Studios for 44 years. He was a key player in some of the most well-known animated films, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and The Jungle Book. He also worked on the development of Disneyland. In 1991 Ken Anderson was inducted into Disney's hall of fame program as an official Disney Legend along with Carl Barks and Mary Blair. This gorgeous drawing is on 15.5" x 12" illustration paper which has been affixed to a larger board of 17.5" x 14". Hand-written by Anderson in the lower left is action which would take place in this scene. This is a real prize for collectors of animation art! Condition is Very Good with some smudges along the top of the board and around the hand-written text.Auction Info
