Description

Charlie Daniels Western World - Proposed Theme Park Original 20" x 12" Concept Art by Landmark Entertainment (LEG, 1994). This original piece of concept art was created by Landmark Entertainment in 1994 for the proposed Charlie Daniels-themed park Charlie Daniels Western World. Rendered in gouache on 20" x 12" illustration board, the artwork is attributed to designer Greg Pro and depicts several key attractions: the Charlie Daniels Theatre, Miss Hazel's Dress Shop, and the Trolley Station. Signed and dated by the artist, the piece is accompanied by a protective sheet and remains in Very Good condition. In the mid-1990s, Landmark Entertainment-renowned for its work on theme parks, large-scale shows, and attractions-partnered with country rocker Charlie Daniels to envision a destination that blended his Southern roots, storytelling, and music with immersive themed experiences. Plans included live performance spaces, Americana-inspired retail and dining, and attractions tied to Daniels' songs, such as The Devil Went Down to Georgia. Though never realized, the project reflected the 1990s surge in music-branded destinations, paralleling efforts like Dolly Parton's Dollywood. Today, this artwork stands as a rare artifact from Landmark's ambitious design legacy and Daniels' enduring cultural influence.
