Description

Busch Gardens LARGE 42" x 30" Original Concept/Pitch Art for Proposed Attraction "Earthguide: The Ride" by Claudio Mazzoli for Landmark Entertainment (LEG, c. 1990s). This stunning original concept/pitch artwork by Italian artist Claudio Mazzoli was created for Landmark Entertainment Group's proposed attraction Earthguide: The Ride (working title) for Busch Gardens Williamsburg in the late 1990s. Rendered in gouache on a large 40" x 30" board and signed by Mazzoli, the piece showcases Landmark's theatrical vision for an edutainment-style experience blending education, spectacle, and environmental storytelling. Earthguide was envisioned as a themed dark ride or simulator-style attraction with a strong environmental message-consistent with Landmark's late-1990s "blue sky" proposals that merged narrative with awareness. The project reflects Landmark's ongoing exploration of how theme park experiences could inform and inspire, much like their global portfolio of urban entertainment centers, live shows, and blockbuster attractions at Universal Studios. Claudio Mazzoli, a versatile artist and designer, is celebrated for his richly detailed, narrative style. His career has spanned illustration, sculpture, and scenography, including collaborations with Disney, Universal Studios, and noted Imagineer Marc Davis. This rare, large-format concept piece is both a testament to Landmark's ambitious creative reach and Mazzoli's unique artistic voice. In Very Good condition.
