Broomstick Bunny Background Layout/Concept Art by Maurice Noble (Warner Brothers, 1956). This cartoon opens with a certificate for "Malevolent Order of Witches" and the calendar reads Halloween 10/31. This Chuck Jones-directed short was released on 2/25/56. It pitted Witch Hazel vs. Bugs Bunny with a great vocal performance by June Foray. Maurice Noble did not receive screen credit but his work is seen all over this film. This is a terrific original layout/background concept drawing done for this short in graphite on two peghole animation paper. The drawing takes up 5" x 6.5" and is signed in the bottom right corner by the artist, Mr. Maurice Noble (1911-2000). Fine condition. From the Maurice Noble Archives.
