Bible Storyland "Ur Bazaar" Concept Hand-Embellished Print (1959). The word Bazaar has a Persian background. The ancient city of Ur in what is now Iraq was an important trade center during biblical times. This is Bruce Bushman's brown line concept drawing for a tourist shopping area within the Bible Storyland theme park. Since this is a revenue area, this plan may have been used a great deal in investment pitches. Great 1959-style graphics of park patrons mixing with costumed park employees in this hand-colored piece, marked in bottom left border "Nat Winecoff Enterprises Hollywood, California." In the bottom right is "Ur Bazaar Bible Storyland Inc Bushman 30 B." Hand-colored with pastels by Bruce Bushman. Important piece in terms of trying to get this Park idea sold to investors. Mounted to board, measuring 19" x 24". Minor handling and some border wear and tear. Small missing corners on top, away from major images. Very Good condition.
