Bedknobs and Broomsticks Concept Painting by Dick Kelsey (Walt Disney, 1977). Dick Kelsey (1905-1987) had a long career with Walt Disney as an art director and background artist, and worked on theme park designs for Disneyland. Kelsey left the animation department to work on Magic Mountain, but returned to work on Bedknobs and Broomsticks. This is an outstanding concept painting of Eglantine with Carrie, Paul, and Charlie, traveling on the bed. This is a key scene done in stunning goauche on board of 12" x 8". Clear acetate has been placed over the painting. An important piece from this wonderful film. Pinholes in the corners; otherwise, Very Good condition. From the Joe Hale Archives.
